Abstract

Parental divorce can have a significant psychological impact on adolescents, one of which is loneliness which can affect suicide ideation. This study aims to analyze the effect of loneliness on suicidal ideation in adolescents with divorced parents, moderated by perceived social support. The approach used in this study is a quantitative method with moderated regression analysis (MRA) using PROCESS Model 1 by Hayes. The sample of this study consisted of 200 adolescents who had divorced parents. The results showed that there was no significant influence between loneliness and suicidal ideation in adolescents, either directly or through moderation of social support. This means that the level of perceived social support does not play a role in moderating the relationship between loneliness and suicidal ideation in adolescents with divorced parents. This study makes an important contribution in understanding the complexity of the relationship between loneliness, social support, and suicidal ideation in adolescents and the importance of more targeted interventions that suit the needs of each individual.
