Abstract
Marriage is a sacred moment in human life, where it is a process of uniting two parties, a man and a woman, according to certain rules and norms. Recently, issues related to marriage have been widespread in Indonesia, leading to a high divorce rate. These marriage-related issues range from domestic violence (KDRT), conflicts/disputes, to economic problems. The situation has worsened with the increasing prevalence of early marriages. These conditions raise questions about the readiness for marriage among couples. Based on the aforementioned issue, the researcher is interested in conducting a study on the development of a marital readiness scale. The aim of this study is to develop the marital readiness scale. The measurement tool in this study was developed using the marital readiness theory of Adira, Rismarini, & Nurhayati (2024), comprising 44 items with six answer options. Data analysis was carried out using confirmatory factor analysis. The sampling method of this research is using accidental sampling. The results from 303 subjects indicated that the measurement tool developed already had a good model fit with values of CFI 0,918>0,9, NNFI 0,896>0,8, PNFI 0,657>0,6, IFI 0,920>0,9, GFI 0,932>0,9, RMSEA 0,052<0,008, and SRMR 0,058<0,08. The final number of items totaled 16, with a reliability value of 0.800.
