Abstract
This study aims to develop an e-module on the topic of hereditary traits using a Project-Based Learning (PJBL) approach integrated with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to improve the critical thinking skills of Grade IX students at MTs Muhammadiyah 29 Lamongan. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation instruments involved subject matter experts, media experts, and language experts. Small-scale and large-scale trials were conducted to assess the practicality and effectiveness of the developed product. The validation results indicate that the e-module falls into the "highly feasible" category, with a subject matter expert validation score of 88% and a media expert score of 89.7%. Practicality testing yielded a score of 91% (highly practical) in the small-scale trial and 92.4% (highly practical) in the large-scale trial. The effectiveness of the e-module was evaluated through improvements in students' critical thinking. The N-gain score for learning interest reached 81.6%, classified as very effective. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the PJBL-STEM-based e-module developed is feasible, practical, and effective for use in biology education, particularly in the topic of Hereditary Traits, and capable of enhancing students' learning interest and critical thinking outcomes.
