Abstract

The main feature in emergency services is the emergency call center (SOS), this feature serves as a starting point for people to access medical assistance. The Emergency Call Center acts as a link between the community and health services that allows users to report emergencies and get initial instructions when an emergency occurs. The Emergency Call Center feature is proven to be effective in connecting users with emergency medical teams, but the emergency call center feature in existing health applications only provides information that flows from users to emergency medical teams without adequate feedback. In addition, the emergency call center system in the current healthcare application does not have a real-time ambulance navigation feature, even though tracking the location of the ambulance is an important factor in handling emergencies. This research explores the problems found by users during emergencies. Through five stages, namely, Emphatize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. This research successfully identified user needs through the stages of the Design Thinking Method. The design that has been made is validated using task scenarios and User Experience Questionnaire, the results of the validation show a very good score with high values of attractiveness, efficiency, accuracy, stimulation, and novelty. This research shows that user-focused design can promote a better user experience. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of more effective and innovative healthcare applications, and encourage further research in health technology in the context of emergency management.
