Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the problems of Islamic education for children of factory workers and to describe the standards of Islamic education for children of factory workers. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques include observation and interviews. The research location is in Gunung Gangsir Village, Beji Subdistrict, Pasuruan District. Data in this study were obtained through interviews with nine informants. Data analysis techniques include data condensation, data display, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the problems faced by factory worker families include limited time together, limited knowledge, and societal perceptions that they neglect their children's education. However, in reality, many factory worker families remain committed to educating their children, including in religious education. The values that serve as standards for children's Islamic religious education are emphasized in the aspect of sharia through the habit of worship, such as prayer, fasting, and consistent reading of the Qur'an. This aspect is interpreted as an effort to shape children's ethics, morals, and character.
