Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of ethical leadership on job
satisfaction, mediated by psychological empowerment, among employees at Pusat Transformasi Bersama (PTB) Gresik. The background of the study highlights the significance of ethical leadership in creating a positive work environment and enhancing job satisfaction through psychological empowerment. This research is categorized as explanatory research using a quantitative approach. The population consists of 80 PTB employees, with a sample of 67 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with
the SmartPLS software.The findings reveal that ethical leadership does not have a direct effect on job satisfaction. However, ethical leadership positively influences psychological empowerment, which in turn significantly affects job satisfaction.Moreover, psychological empowerment plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between ethical leadership and job satisfaction. These results suggest that improving job satisfaction among employees requires the support of ethical leadership accompanied by the enhancement of psychological empowerment.
