Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the potential bankruptcy of
manufacturing companies in the textile and garment sub-sector listed on the
Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019 to 2023. The research was conducted
using quantitative methods and data was obtained through documentation methods.
The sampling technique uses the purposive sampling technique , which is a method
of collecting information based on certain sample targets only, so that 15
manufacturing companies were obtained as research samples. The results of the
study show that in 2019 there were 2 companies in the healthy category, 3
companies in the gray zone, and 10 companies that had the potential to experience
financial distress. In 2020, the composition has not changed. However, in 2021
there was an increase in the number of healthy companies to 6, while 2 companies
were in the grey zone and 7 companies experienced distress. In 2022, there are 3
healthy companies, 3 in the gray zone, and 9 that are experiencing distress. In the
last year of observation, namely 2023, there were only 1 company in good health,
2 in the grey zone, and 12 companies indicated financial distress.
