The Pujan tradition of the Tengger Tribe is a manifestation of rich and unique cultural heritage, reflecting spiritual and social values. This work aims to explore the role of visual communication in documenting and disseminating the Pujan tradition through documentary photography. The communication approach in this work highlights how documentary photography can capture the ritual potential of Pujan and convey its spiritual meaning to a wider audience. Documentary photography serves as an effective medium for communicating the beauty and complexity of the Tengger Tribe's traditions, while also contributing to their preservation. The photobook created as a medium for documenting this visual tradition is not only a visual and aesthetic tool but also functions to reinforce the visual identity of the Tengger Tribe. This work demonstrates how visual communication has significant potential in introducing and preserving the Pujan tradition of the Tengger Tribe, as well as raising public awareness about Indonesia's cultural diversity. Thus, this work emphasizes the importance of documentary photography in supporting cultural communication and the preservation of valuable cultural heritage. Through this endeavor, it is hoped that the Pujan tradition of the Tengger Tribe will continue to thrive and be recognized by future generations.
