Abstract
In the mining industry, large vehicles such as dump trucks and excavators play a crucial role in operations. Tires are vital components that must withstand heavy loads and extreme terrain, so their maintenance is very important to prevent downtime and financial losses. PT Chitra Paratama, as a provider of heavy vehicle tire services, developed the CAMOS application to support tire maintenance, including the Repair Tire feature designed to facilitate repair division technicians in the tire repair process. This study aims to design the user interface (UI/UX) of the Repair Tire feature using the Design Thinking approach and test its usability with the System Usability Scale (SUS). The Design Thinking method is applied through five stages: (1) Empathize to understand user needs through interviews and observations, (2) Define to formulate problems such as inefficiencies in manual data input, (3) Ideate to generate creative solutions, (4) Prototype to create low and high fidelity designs, and (5) Test for evaluation using Acceptance Criteria, SUS, and A/B Testing. The SUS test results showed a score of 82 (Acceptable category), while A/B Testing proved that 100% of respondents were more satisfied with the Repair Tire feature design than competitor applications. The conclusion of this study is that the Repair Tire feature was successfully designed to reduce human error and meet user needs. Suggestions for further development are the implementation of features into the CAMOS application with good system integration and further testing in the field.
