Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the use of the website of information and documentation management officials or abbreviated as PPID in public information disclosure. The method used in conducting this research is descriptive qualitative to be able to see the success of the extent to which the use of the website can be effectively used by applicants or the public in accessing information by also primary data sources through interviews with relevant parties
secondarily by using relevant supporting documents. The results of the research in this paper show that the Website managed by PPID DPR RI is able to provide easier and faster access for applicants in obtaining the desired information related to the legislative process, policies and documents produced by DPR RI. The research also found that the public as requesters predominantly use the Website to obtain information rather than having to come directly or even through letters.
Like any research in general, this research has several shortcomings,
including conducting more in-depth interviews with other work units, these work units are scattered in various places within the DPR RI. So that further research is expected to be able to provide the results of interview answers from two different sides between service providers and work units within the DPR RI.
