Abstract
Comparison is a comparative research system between two objects in order to gain an understanding of the similarities and differences between the two. This study aims to analyze data from Bawaslu of East Java Province and Bawaslu of Bali Province in comparing innovation programs or priority programs to increase community participation in order to minimize the existence of money politics culture in the community in East Java and Bali. This can be seen directly how Bawaslu tries to prevent violations through a more educational and preventive approach covering the extent to which these programs are effective in increasing understanding of their political rights and the importance of choosing wisely.
In order to obtain in-depth information related to the data in this study, the researcher conducted direct and virtual interviews with the coordinator of the prevention and community participation division of the East Java Provincial Bawaslu and the Bali Provincial Bawaslu, informants of the coordinator of the prevention and community participation division of the East Java Bawaslu and the Bali Provincial Bawaslu, and explored further information from the East Java and Bali communities virtually. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with a descriptive method by providing reflections and explanations based on existing facts and using a case study research approach through data or information collection.
Based on the research results, the initiated programs have similarities, namely prioritizing participatory education that works in the community and has a very good impact on encouraging people from various groups and is proven by the results of direct interviews with the people of East Java and Bali which are one of the benchmarks of a program's success. By considering the obstacles faced by the East Java Provincial Bawaslu and the Bali Provincial Bawaslu in carrying out their priority programs, there should be a follow-up evaluation in order to achieve the expected goals such as the obstacles of the East Java Bawaslu related to improving teaching modules and the obstacles of the Bali Bawaslu related to the budget for all participatory supervision programs.
