PENEGAKAN HUKUM TERHADAP PERTAMBANGAN PASIR SECARA ILEGAL DI WILAYAH HUKUM POLRES PONOROGO

This study discusses law enforcement against illegal sand mining activities in the jurisdiction of the Ponorogo Police. Illegal mining activities cause significant environmental damage and violate the provisions of Law Number 3 of 2020 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining and Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management. This study uses a sociological legal approach method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that law enforcement by the Ponorogo Police has been carried out through preventive and repressive efforts, although it is still faced with various obstacles such as limited resources and low public legal awareness. This study recommends increasing coordination between institutions, strengthening regulations, and educating the public in order to prevent and overcome illegal sand mining more effectively and sustainably.
