KREDIBILITAS BERITA ONLINE DALAM PEMBERITAAN BENCANA ALAM (Analisis Isi Berita Online Gempa Bumi Tuban di Portal Berita Tugujatim.id Periode 22 Maret 2024 - 31 Maret 2024)

Along with the development of information technology and internet use, the press is taking advantage of this moment by relying on online media to upload their news. The large amount of information that spreads quickly does not deny that several online media are required to be fast in finding and uploading online news. This can sometimes lead to distorted issues or errors due to a lack of credibility in the reporting. Tugujatim.id is an East Java online news portal that provides the latest information. The aim of this research is to find out how high the credibility of reporting on the Tugujatim.id online news is, which includes the Accuracy dimension, Believability dimension, Bias dimension and Completeness dimension using the Credibility concept of Flanagin and Metzger (2000).
This research uses a quantitative approach that focuses on phenomena objectively in certain populations or samples. This research is descriptive in nature and will explore and clarify a phenomenon that occurs. This research method is content analysis which emphasizes in-depth discussion of the content of written information. This research processes data using a coding sheet which is processed by three coders.
The results of this research with 31 news items show the credibility of reporting on the earthquake disaster in the Tugujatim.id online news for the period 22 March 2024 - 31 March 2024 which has quite high credibility. This can be seen from the suitability of the content with the title reaching 67.74%, the suitability of the content with the photo reaching 90.32%, the accuracy of the writing reaching 00.00%, the non-opininative reaching 74.19%, source transparency reaching 80.65%, Cover Both Sides reaching 87.10%, and 5W + 1H reaching 93.55%.
