Abstract

The protracted conflict between Palestine and Israel is one of the most complex geopolitical issues, which has its roots in the 19th century and has triggered significant regional and global instability for more than seven decades (Siti Fitriyanti, 2025). This study aims to analyze Indonesia's efforts in promoting peace in this conflict, with an emphasis on the strategies implemented by Indonesia in the last decade (2015-2024). Using a descriptive qualitative research method with a desk study approach, data was systematically collected from various scientific literature and official documents. The analysis focuses on identifying and deepening Indonesia's efforts. The results identified that Indonesia's diplomacy is manifested through four main pillars, namely public, bilateral and multilateral diplomacy. Indonesia has consistently voiced support and rallied solidarity in the UN, OIC and NAM forums, and rejected the normalization of relations with Israel. Concrete support is also provided through humanitarian aid and facilities such as the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza. Further analysis using conflict resolution theory shows that Indonesia's approach is conciliatory and transformative, seeking to address the root causes of the conflict. Although faced with geopolitical complexities and challenges, Indonesian diplomacy has proven effective in maintaining the momentum of the Palestinian issue in the global arena and making a real contribution towards peace.
