Abstract
Female employees, especially those who are married, often face challenges in achieving maximum performance because they have to divide their time between work and family responsibilities that can affect their work results. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work-family conflict on the performance of female employees. The research method used in this study is quantitative correlational research. The subjects in this study were 108 female employees who were working at PT. X Pasuruan Regency with non-probability sampling techniques and purposive sampling methods. The research instrument used for work-family conflict was the Work and Family Conflict Scale (WAFCS) and the performance instrument used company reports for the last three months containing the number of targets achieved and employee attendance. Data management used simple linear regression data analysis techniques and the Kruskal-Wallis test for additional analysis. The results showed that work-family conflict did not have a significant effect on the performance of female employees. However, significant differences in performance were found based on work position. The implication of this study is the need for attention to the division of tasks between positions in order to encourage optimal performance achievement in all parts. In addition, companies are advised not only to focus on reducing role conflict, but also on efforts to support employees to continue to maintain their performance, such as stress management training and a supportive work environment.
