Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Sidoarjo provides internship programs for students;
however, the data management process for internship participants is still carried
out manually, leading to various issues such as data entry errors, difficulties in
monitoring active participants, and delays in certificate issuance. This study aims
to design and develop a web-based internship management information system to
improve efficiency and accuracy in administrative processes. The system was
developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model,
which includes the stages of analysis, design, coding, and testing. The application
was built using native PHP and MySQL as the database and tested using Black
box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methods. The system features
include user login, monitor interns, participant data management, grade input,
automated certificate generation in PDF format, and data export to Excel. The
testing results show that the system meets all functional user requirements, with a
user acceptance rate of 94.54% based on UAT. Therefore, the developed system
effectively provides a digital solution for managing internship participants at PT
PLN UP3 Sidoarjo.
