POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DALAM MENINGKATKAN RASA PERCAYA DIRI PADA ANAK DIFABEL DI DESA NGAWONGGO KECAMATAN TAJINAN KABUPATEN MALANG

This study aims to determine the parenting patterns of parents in increasing self-confidence in children with disabilities in Ngawonggo Village, Tajinan District, Malang Regency. As children with disabilities, self-confidence is very influential in their lives to adapt to their environment. Parenting patterns are very necessary to help them increase self-confidence. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity test used is source triangulation. The results of the study show that the parenting patterns carried out by parents in increasing self-confidence are providing positive support, parents always accompany and give attention, likewise when children feel insecure parents always support, provide encouragement, divert in other ways, and no less important is communication, parents tend to apply a democratic parenting pattern. Obstacles faced by parents include obstacles in children's emotions, obstacles in communication, obstacles in access, and support from the surrounding environment. This research is expected to increase awareness among parents and the community in supporting the development of children with disabilities so that they grow with good self-confidence.
