Abstract

This study aims to examine the durian agribusiness potential in Jombang Regency, East Java, using the Location Quotient (LQ) method. LQ is used to identify base sectors that possess comparative advantages within a region.
The study uses secondary data from the Jombang Central Bureau of Statistics, particularly durian production and harvested area from 2019 to 2023.
The analysis shows that Wonosalam District is the only area with an LQ value greater than 1, specifically 8.805, and the highest harvested area, totaling 869,011 trees. This confirms Wonosalam as the main durian production center in Jombang. Its strengths are supported by ideal agro-climatic conditions, suitable topography, and strong cultural identity, such as the Ken-Duren tradition, which promotes agro-tourism potential
