Abstract

In this research aims to identify the factors that cause and the social impacts experienced by children involved in work in the tourism sector, particularly in Kuta Beach. The phenomenon of child labor in Bali, especially in tourist areas, is a serious issue education and protection. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysys thechiques in the study use data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity test used in this research is credibility test. The results of the study reveal that poverty and low economic conditions of the family are the main factors that drive children to work. In addition, the lack of literacy of a child rights also contribution to the phenomenon, where parents often use the child as a source of income.
