Abstract

Shallots are one of the main vegetable commodities in Indonesia and have many benefits. Shallots are included in the group of non-substitutable spices. To obtain the expected quality of shallots, it is done by improving the correct cultivation techniques, environmental management and selection of quality plant materials. Shallots can generally be harvested at the age of 60 days. Fertility needs to be considered in producing shallots, if availability is not limited, then it needs to be added through fertilization. The fertilizer used can be organic fertilizer ssuch as compost, cow manure, and goat manure. Then inorganic fertilizer such as NPK. The study was conducted using 20x20cm polybags using 2kg of soil and rice husks with ratio of 3:1. The purpose of this study was to obtain the form and results of the interaction of various organic fertilizers on the growth of shallots of brebes and cipanas varieties. The study did not find any significan difference between between fertilizer application on types of red onion varieties in plant height growth, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of bulbs, bulb diameter, wet weight, and dry weight. Application of NPK fertilizer on various varieties has advantages in the parameters of observation of plant height, number of bulbs, bulb diameter, wet weight, dry weight. For the parameters of observation of number of leaves, and stem diameter, application of cow manure has advantages over other fertilizers
