Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the yield potential and evaluate the level of genetic diversity of the heritability value of several genotypes of pariah plants compared to two comparative varieties. The research was conducted at PT Aditya Sentana Agro in December 2024-February 2025. This research method applies RKLT (Randomized Complete Group Design) with four times repetition. The variables implemented were fruit tip shape, fruit base shape, waxy melt, number of fruits per plot, fruit weight per plant, number of fruits, weight per fruit, fruit flesh thickness, fruit diameter, fruit length, leaf width, leaf length, leaf area, number of flowers, number of leaves, harvest age, female exhaust age, and male flower age. Based on the results of the study, uniform qualitative characters were obtained, such as fruit shape, wax melt, and the shape of the base and tip of the fruit. High heritability values in fruit weight and number, leaf width and length, and yield per hectare were obtained due to genetic factors and can be improved by involving selection. Quantitative characters, such as fruit weight per plant, and yield per hectare in genotypes in BG 24404, have a significant contribution to plant productivity, so they can be used as the main indicators in the selection of superior genotypes. The results of the correlation analysis between variables show between quantitative characters, such as a positive correlation between the number of female flowers and yield per hectare, and a negative correlation between fruit weight per plant and fruit length. The results of this correlation analysis provide important information in determining the direction of selection in order to obtain maximum productivity results.
