Abstract
Mathematics is one of the subjects that is often considered difficult and boring. This has an impact on low motivation and student learning outcomes. Therefore, innovation in learning is needed, one of which is the combination of interesting media and cooperative learning models. This study aims to describe the application of Spinning Wheel media in the TPS model in mathematics subjects, determine students' responses to learning, and analyze the improvement of learning outcomes of grade VIII students in statistical materials after learning. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The subject of this study is grade VIII students in one of the private schools in Malang City. Data collection techniques include observation, response questionnaires, interviews, and learning outcome tests. The findings of the study showed that the application of Spinning Wheel media in the TPS model was effectively implemented and successful in creating an active and engaging learning atmosphere. Student responses to learning were positive, with an average percentage of questionnaires of 80,73%. Students also showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with an average pre-test score of 50,8 increasing to 77,92 on the post-test. These findings showed that the combination of Spinning Wheel media in the TPS model is effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in terms of cognitive achievement. However, there are still a small number of students who are less active and give negative responses, so it needs to be a concern in the implementation of further learning.
