Abstract

Background: Stunting remains a serious health problem in Indonesia, particularly among toddlers. Stunted children often experience stunted growth and long-term developmental challenges. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the factors contributing to stunting in this age group to develop effective and lasting interventions.
Objective: To identify risk factors that influence the incidence of stunting in toddlers.
Method: This paper uses a narrative literature review design that selects literature based on keywords. The databases used were Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, and Science Direct to obtain literature from reputable journals.
Results and Discussion: The results of the journal review in this paper indicate that risk factors for stunting in toddlers include maternal factors, child factors, parental factors, and environmental factors. These four factors have their own indicators that are interrelated with stunting.
Conclusion: The results of this writing can be used as a basis for contributing to the development of interventions for parents, children, and communities in the community in efforts to prevent stunting, especially in toddlers.
