Abstract
This study aims to determine the best decision alternative between renting or buying land in an effort to increase operational capacity at UD. Singkong Keju Sultan. The method used is Decision Tree with the Expected Monetary Value (EMV) approach as the basis for decision making. The alternatives compared include renting and buying land based on three demand production: low, medium, and high. The results of the analysis show that the alternative of buying land has an EMV value of IDR 169.950.320, higher than the alternative of renting land which only produces an EMV of IDR 258.170.400. This difference shows that the decision to buy land provides a potential profit of around 46.59% greater than renting. Therefore, buying land is a long-term strategic choice that can help companies meet demand independently and efficiently. This study also shows that the decision tree method can be used as an effective tool in supporting operational investment decision making in service companies.
