Abstract

Chili pepper cultivation often lacks a strong economic orientation, failing to adequately account
for production costs and the resulting income. This study aims to determine the income
generated from chili pepper farming in Dau District, Malang Regency. The research design
employs a case study approach within Dau District, Malang Regency, utilizing a descriptive
quantitative research method. Both primary and secondary data were utilized in this study. The
sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling. The results indicate that chili
pepper farmers in Dau District received an average revenue of Rp 151,510,204, with total costs
incurred amounting to Rp 55,781,272. This yielded a net farm income of Rp 95,728,932 per
season. The income generated from chili pepper farming in Dau District proves to be profitable,
suggesting its suitability for continued development. Nevertheless, it is essential to re-evaluate
several variables that require improvement to facilitate even greater income generation.
