Abstract
Background: Kidney failure disease globally is estimated at 1 in 10 of the world's population. Is estimated to be the fifth cause of death in 2040. The incidence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in Indonesia is 0.38% of the total population of Indonesia of 252,124,458 people. This percentage is 713,783 people suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease in Indonesia.
Objective: to identify several risk factors for intradialysis hypotension in chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Aisyiyah Islamic Hospital in Malang.
Method: using medical record data of hemodialysis patients in November 2024. Samples were taken using the total sampling technique. The variables analyzed included age, duration of HD therapy, intradialytic weight gain (IDWG), ultrafiltration rate (UFR), and history of antihypertensive drug consumption. The analysis was performed using the chi-square test.
Results: Total Sample 40 patients, only 2 patients (5%) experienced intradialytic hypotension. Most patients were over 50 years old (65%) and had been undergoing hemodialysis for more than 2 years (52.5%). A total of 87.5% of patients had increased IDWG and 80% had a standard UFR. Most patients (67.5%) used a combination of antihypertensive drugs. There was no statistically significant association between age, duration of hemodialysis, IDWG, UFR, or history of antihypertensive drug use with the occurrence of intradialytic hypotension (p>0.05).
Conclusion: The incidence of IDH was low in this population. No statistically significant association was found between patient characteristics and IDH.
