Abstract

Cucumber plants are a top five vegetable commodity because of their many health benefits. Substances contained in cucumber include vitamins, minerals, calcium, carbohydrates, fat, protein, and calories. Cucumber production has decreased over the past three years, due to errors in determining the harvest age, causing cucumber seeds to have low quality. The purpose of this research is to analyze the correlation between the duration of curing time and the optimal harvest age of cucumber. The implementation time of this research is from October 2024 to January 2025 which is located on the land of PT Aditya Sentana Agro, Malang, East Java. The research method implemented RKLT (Randomized Complete Group Design) by applying four forms of treatment namely 25; 30; 35; and 40 HSP (Days After Pollination). Then the duration of curing time is 0, 3, 6, and 9 days, so that the total number of treatments is 16 and repetition is done 3 times. Observational variables include uniformity of growth, vigor index, growth speed, germination, seed yield, 1000-grain weight, moisture content, seed weight per fruit, weight loss, and fruit weight. If from the results of the study there is a significant inequality, the BNJ (Differential Real Honest) test will be carried out at the 5% level. According to the analysis and observations that have been made, there is a high yield with a relative curing time of 9 days at harvest age 30 and 35 HSP. In addition, high results were also found in the variables of vigor index, germination, seed yield, 1000 seed weight, and seed weight. Then the highest weight loss variable when the curing time is 9 days with a harvest age of 30 HSP.
