Abstract

This study aims to develop VideoScribe-based learning media on the topic of exponents as an effort to foster students' learning interest and critical thinking skills at vocational high schools (SMK). The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of expert validation in content show that the media is highly suitable for use, with a feasibility score of 90.62%, covering aspects of content, language, and presentation. Media expert validation yielded a feasibility score of 97.91%, including aspects of design, usability, typography, and instructional strategy, all of which support effective material delivery. The trial conducted with students indicated a practicality level of 92.84%, demonstrating that the media is easy to use and understand. Students’ interest level in the media reached 94.75%, indicating that it effectively captures attention and boosts learning motivation. In terms of effectiveness, post-test scores increased by 79.73%, with 81.25% of students meeting the minimum mastery criteria (KKM). These results show that the use of VideoScribe media is not only engaging and practical but also effective in enhancing students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills in exponent material.
