Development of Biodiversity Module Based on Medicinal Plants in Kedang Community of Lembata Regency for Biology Learning Class X at SMA Negeri 1 Balauring

Teaching materials are a series of materials arranged in a structured manner for use by teachers and students with the aim of deepening students' understanding of learning materials. Based on the needs analysis at SMA Negeri 1 Balauring, it shows that in the biology learning process on biodiversity material still faces a number of obstacles, including limited teaching materials that are relevant to local conditions. This study aims to (1) produce a module development design of biodiversity of Kedang community medicinal plants using the ADDIE model, (2) analyze the validity of the Kedang community medicinal plant-based biodiversity module for class X biology learning at SMA Negeri 1 Balauring based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and linguists, (3) analyze the practicality of the Kedang community medicinal plant-based biodiversity module for class X biology learning at SMA Negeri 1 Balauring based on the responses of biology teachers and students. This research method uses development research (Research & Development) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) which was carried out from April - December 2024. The results of the study were (1) to produce a valid and practical medicinal plant-based biodiversity module product, (2) the level of validity of the medicinal plant-based biodiversity module with an average of 88.44% from three validators, namely material experts, media experts, and linguists, which is classified as Very Valid, (3) The results of the practicality test from the biology teacher showed a score of 84.51% and the average of 12 students showed 84.89% which was in the very practical category.
