Abstract

Djumaria. 2025. “The Influence of Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Model on Motivation and Learning Outcomes of Style Material on Grade VII Students of MTs Aisyiyah Sungguminasa-Gowa”. This study is entitled "The Effect of Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Model on Motivation and Learning Outcomes of Style Material in Class VII Students of MTs Aisyiyah Sungguminasa-Gowa". This study aims to explore the impact of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on Motivation and Learning Outcomes of students in Style Material in class VII MTs Aisyiyah Sungguminasa-Gowa. The background of this study is based on the low Motivation and Learning Outcomes of students in Style Material, which is often taught in a traditional way without actively involving students in the teaching and learning process. The methodology used is a quasi-experiment with an unbalanced control group design. The sample consists of two classes, namely class A with 22 students as an experimental class that applies the PjBL model and class VII B with 28 students as a control class that still uses conventional learning methods. Data collection techniques include questionnaires to measure motivation and learning outcome tests through pretests and posttests. For data analysis, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests are used to identify significant differences between the two groups. The results of this study indicate a significant increase in motivation with an average learning motivation in the control class recorded at 3.05, which is included in the "Enough" category. On the other hand, the average learning motivation in the experimental class reached 4.72, which is included in the "Very High" category. The results of the statistical test showed a t value = -19.86 with a p-value of 1.47 × 10⁻²³. Considering that the p-value is far below 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between student learning motivation in the experimental class and the control class, and the results of the N-Gain calculation in the control class show that the average reaches 0.262, while in the experimental class it reaches 0.766. Based on these data, it was found that the average N-Gain value in the control class is in the low to medium range, while the experimental class showed high results. It can be said that students who learn using the PjBL model show a much better increase in conceptual understanding than those who learn in the usual way
