Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the IUAE-CEPA Partnership Agreement on the development of investment from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Indonesia and its effect on employment. Using a qualitative method with an explanatory research design, data were collected through a library research of relevant sources. The study applies the trickle-down economics theory to understand the economic impact of the agreement. The findings show a significant increase in UAE investment, from USD 16.15 million in 2021 to USD 69.85 million in 2023, with a continued positive trend in 2024 reaching USD 32.73 million. The investments were mostly in the tertiary sector, followed by the primary and secondary sectors. IUAE-CEPA has not only acted as a catalyst for sustainable investment but also brought positive effects to society through job creation and broader income distribution.
