Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Work Life Balance and Work Motivation on Employee Retention at PT. PLN (Persero) in Malang City. The approach used is quantitative, with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to 40 employees as research samples. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS software, through validity tests, reliability, multiple linear regression, and partial significance tests (t-test). The results of the study indicate that Work Life Balance has a negative and significant effect on Employee Retention, indicating that increasing the balance between work and personal life can actually reduce the retention rate. Conversely, Work Motivation has a positive and significant effect on Employee Retention, indicating that the higher the work motivation, the higher the employee retention rate. These findings suggest that companies not only need to provide work-life balance, but also strengthen strategies that encourage increased employee work motivation in order to strengthen retention. This study contributes to management in formulating policies that support employee welfare and loyalty in a sustainable manner.
