Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work life balance on job satisfaction with compensation as a moderating variable for employees of PT PLN (Persero) in Malang City. This research was conducted with a sample size of 40 respondents. The sampling technique used non probability sampling technique with saturated sempel method. This research uses a quantitative approach with interview and survey methods through questionnaires. Data collection using questionnaire distribution. The data analysis method used is the scale range and path analysis assisted by SmartPLS 4.0 software. Data analysis was conducted using path analysis to examine the relationship between the independent variable (work life balance), the dependent variable (job satisfaction), and the moderating variable (compensation). The results showed that work life balance has a significant effect on job satisfaction. However, the relationship between work life balance and job satisfaction is not significantly moderated by compensation. Based on these findings, it is recommended that companies evaluate the compensation system, especially related to salaries and additional incentives because the high workload is not balanced with adequate compensation. In addition, the company needs to implement a more flexible work-life balance policy to increase employee job satisfaction.
