Abstract

This study aims to determine how the occupational safety and health system is implemented in paragliding tourism.. By knowing the implementation of occupational safety and health in paragliding tourism, this study uses a qualitative approach method in sociology used to understand the meaning, social interaction, and individual experiences in their social context. So that this study is expected to reveal information about what is the focus of the research, namely knowing how effective the implementation of occupational safety and health is in paragliding tourism. The implementation of K3 in paragliding tourism covers various aspects, from instructor training, equipment maintenance, location supervision, to education for tourists. For example, paragliding instructors must have recognized certification, and equipment such as harnesses, parachutes, and helmets must meet international safety standards. In addition, the launch and landing locations must be ensured to be free from potential hazards such as electrical cables or unstable terrain. Without the implementation of adequate K3 standards, the risk of accidents can increase, which can ultimately damage the image of the tourist destination.
