Abstract

managing or utilizing existing resources it is not carried out optimally. This type of research uses a quantitative approach. Quantitative analysis techniques explain based on data. One example of the technique used is Klassen typology and Location Quotion analysis to identify what sectors are superior in the Districts and Cities of South Sumatra Province. Quadrant 1 or Fast Progress and Growth with an indication of Gross Regional Domestic Product Per Capita and Growth has an average value district and city average. The results of the Location Quotion and dynamic Location Quotion analysis of Gross Regional Domestic Product in Regencies and Cities show that there are 13 Cities and Regencies that are classified as superior sectors. Regional government as a driver of regional development continues to support economic sectors that are classified as basic and pay attention to sectors that potential so as to provide added value to the growth of Gross Regional Domestic Product.
