Abstract

The analysis results of grade V student at SDN Tlekung 01 show that during the learning process, teaching media has been utilized however, the students are less enthusiastic about participating in the lessons, which results in their lack of understanding of the material about the properties of light. Therefore, the researcher learning media called LUPECA BOX based on a barcode, quiz wheel, as this barcode quiz wheel can attract students’ attention when used. The purpose of the LUPECA BOX media for the properties of light material in grade V elementary school.
The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development), ADDIE model reserach and development methods, including : (1) Analyze, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, (5) Evaluation. The data collection techniquies used are : observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Conducting research in the grade V elementary school.
LUPECA BOX based on barcode quiz wheels is used to observe and predict various properties of light. The way to use LUPECA BOX is to scan the barcode quiz wheel using a mobile phone. Students practice it according to the video. Based on the results of the development of LUPECA BOX media based on the barcode quiz wheel, material validation was 81%, media valiadation was 96%, teacher response was 100% and student response was 94%. It was concluded that the LUPECA BOX learning media is “Feasible” as a learning medium for the nature of light. However, this research still has shortcomings in the appearance of learning media, so innovation and creativity from subsequent researchers are needed.
