Abstract

The use of information technology can be used in the development of learning media to help attract or increase students' interest in mathematics learning. This research aims to develop RPG game-based learning media using the Uni media development application so that it can be used by anyone practically and effectively in learning so that students can improve mathematical communication skills in SPLTV materials. This research is a development research namely Research and Development (R&D) where development research is a research method applied to produce a certain product and test the effectiveness of the product. The Alessi and Trollip development model is a structured software development model consisting of three phases of the design and development model, namely planning, design, and development. The results of the media validity research obtained a percentage of 95.59%, which if viewed from the category, this media is included in the category of very valid. The research trial was carried out at SMK Taruna Bhakti Pasuruan with a total of 10 subjects tested. The results of media effectiveness shown through a gain score of 0.87 showed that the use of RPG games in mathematics learning was very effective in improving student learning outcomes. The calculation of the average performance and ease of media is 3.5 which is categorized as a very practical medium to use. Media in the practical category according to students is interesting and easy to use during learning.
