Abstract
This study discusses the application of the restorative justice approach
to children involved in narcotics-related criminal offenses within the
jurisdiction of the Malang City Police (Polresta Malang). Restorative justice
serves as an alternative dispute resolution method that emphasizes restoration
rather than retribution, prioritizing the best interests of the child. The research
method used is empirical juridical with a sociological approach, conducted
through interviews and document analysis. The findings indicate that the
implementation of restorative justice is fairly effective in resolving cases
involving children as narcotics users. However, there are still obstacles, such
as the lack of understanding among law enforcement officers and the public
regarding this concept. This study highlights the importance of synergy
between law enforcement, families, and communities to provide maximum
protection for children and to prevent criminalization that could harm their
future.
