Abstract

Based on the analysis of fourth-grade students at SDN Tlekung 01 Kota Batu, it was found that there is an issue related to the lack of innovative learning media, which is one of the main causes of the existing problems. This study aims to develop learning media to enhance students' understanding and the use of game-based learning media, specifically Interactive Games, in the fourth-grade class at SDN Tlekung 01 Kota Batu. Thus, this research aligns with efforts to improve the quality of mathematics learning at SDN Tlekung 01 through the development of innovative learning media and active learning approaches.
The development method used in this study is the Lee Owens model, which involves initial and final analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The subjects of this study are the fourth-grade students of SDN Tlekung 01 Kota Batu. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires.The research results indicate that the interactive game-based learning media is deemed feasible by material and media experts, with material validation percentage of 87.5%, media validation percentage of 76.92%, and user response percentage of 94.2%. These percentages are above average and indicate that the media is highly suitable to be used as an alternative learning medium.
The study also shows that the Interactive Game media successfully improved students' understanding, as evidenced by an evaluation result with an average score of 83.5. The media development process involved material and media validation before implementation in learning. The media was tested in three implementation stages in the fourth-grade class at SDN Tlekung 01 Kota Batu, and the questionnaire results showed that the media could motivate and attract students' attention, making it suitable for use in learning. Therefore, the use of game-based learning media, such as Interactive Games, can be an effective solution to enhance students' understanding of mathematics at the elementary education level.
