Abstract

This research has a main purpose that focuses on increasing students ability to master Arabic vocabulary and this research aims to improve mastery of Arabic vocabulary and determine the influence of the Doratoon Animation Maker learning media for fifth grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 8 KH Mas Mansur Malang. The method used in this research is the true experiment method. The data analysis methods used are data sampling, homogeneity test, related samples, normality test, wilcoxon test, and effectiveness test. The population used in this research was 88 students. The samples used were classes V-B and V-C with a total of 45 students as the experimental class, and classes V-A and V-D with a total of 43 students as the control class. This research data collection method uses observation, interviews, and tests (pretest and posttest). The process of implementing the Doratoon Animation Maker learning media takes place in 4 stages, which consist of : preparation, presentation of material, question and answer session, and ending with evaluation. The results of the research after the learning media were implemented can be seen from the average post test score for the control class being greater than the experimental class, namely 76.05 > 52.89. In this explanation, it was concluded that the learning media, which was based on the animated video Doratoon Animation Maker had no significant effect (not effective) in improving Arabic vocabulary skills for the fifth grade students in SD Muhammadiyah 8 KH Mas Mansur Malang.
