Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a real-time ammonia gas
monitoring system. High ammonia gas concentrations in poiltry houses can
negatively impact chicken health and productivity.
The developed system utilizes an MQ-135 sensor to detect ammonia gas levels
and an Arduino Uno microcontroller for data processing. Testing results
demonstrate the system’s ability to accurately monitor ammonia levels and
provide notifications if levels exceed predetermined thresholds, thereby helping to
prevent losses due to poor air quality in poultry houses and contributing to the
advancement of ammonia gas monitoring technology in chicken farms.
