Abstract

This study aims to analyse the #MeToo social network that moves widely in the virtual area using Twitter social media to campaign in response to cases of sexual violence against women. The methodology used in this study is qualitative explanatory with the concept of Global Civil Society including visibility and networking strategies. Research data were collected through literature studies, Twitter Data Crawling in Netlytic, and Gephi software. The results of the study show that the #MeToo social network is explained in three forms, first the author is visualized in eight clusters, second the description is visualized in WordCloud as a frequently used word, third the title is visualized in a more detailed explanation of the eight clusters into five clusters. The concept of Global Civil Society through the strategy of visibility (responsive to the senses) and networking (linked social networks) provides an explanation that focuses on efforts to find the behaviour of the international community in campaign activities for cases of sexual violence against women with social media resources. The Social Network Analysis (SNA) method is also used as an explanation of the network analysis. Concepts and methods synergize to provide a more comprehensive explanation in writing.
