Abstract

Plastics molding is a manufacturing process in which plastic material is melted and injected into a mold, also known as plastic injection manufacturing, to obtain the desired shape. It is one of the main techniques in the manufacturing of various plastic products in various industries, such as toys, car parts, home appliances, medical products, and others. In the plastic molding process, there are many parameters that must be considered to produce a perfect product and no defects such as shrinkage, uneven color, cracks, and blemishes.
One of the main aspects that often causes product reject rates is temperature change. Where each material of the product to be produced has a different temperature level in processing it, the process of designing an improvement strategy in the plastic molding process should focus more on the temperature factor as the main part. The improvements designed must be appropriate and consider the temperature variability that can affect product quality.
