Abstract
Individuals between the ages of 20 and 30 frequently encounter new demands and challenges as they transition into early adulthood, often resulting in experiences of stress, melancholy, monotony, and difficulty in identifying effective stress relief outlets. However, these experiences may shift when individuals cultivate an interest in K-pop, which can provide a sense of escapism, entertainment, and an avenue for emotional expression. This interest may serve as a coping mechanism for managing personal challenges. The objective of this research is to examine the relationship between coping strategies and celebrity worship among K-pop fans in early adulthood. The study adopts a quantitative correlational design, with participants selected through accidental sampling. The research utilizes the Brief COPE and the Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) as measurement instruments. The findings reveal a negative correlation between coping strategies and celebrity worship, indicating that higher levels of coping strategies correspond to lower levels of celebrity worship
