KOMUNIKASI POLITIK ANGGOTA DPRD KOTA MALANG DALAM PELAKSANAAN RESES TAHUN 2023

In the discovery of problems in the field where the effectiveness of recess is not well communicated to the public. The implementation of recess activities is often carried out by irresponsible members of the council who only fulfill the needs of the recess and are only used as formalities where they only invite constituents in their electoral districts and do not carry out aspiration networks to constituents even though there is an aspiration filling form. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of recess that has been carried out by a member of the council, namely Eko Herdiyanto, through political communication instruments. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data using interview methods with parties related to research and documentation related to research data.
The results of this study use the political communication theory proposed by Nimmo. The political communication theory has several indicators as a reference in research such as political communicators, political messages, political channels or media, political targets or targets, and the effects of political communication. Eko Herdiyanto who is a member of the DPRD and is the focus of the study, The results show that the massive delivery of messages, use of media, determining political targets in the implementation of recess realizes the implementation of effective recess. Likewise, the effect can be seen when after the implementation of the recess which shows Eko Herdiyanto was re-elected as a member of the Malang City DPRD
The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the 3rd recess in 2023 carried out by Eko Herdiyanto was carried out effectively. By looking at the approach using political communication theory, the implementation of recess was able to bring constituent problems into the Main Thoughts and become an answer to the concerns of the Community or constituents in the Electoral District.
