Abstract
Child marriage is a marriage performed by a couple or one of the prospective bride and groom under 19 years of age. They are obliged to get marriage dispensation from the Religious Court. The level of readiness for marriage is a sign for an individual regarding their views on married life and being able to decide with whom, when, where, why, and what needs to be done after marriage.. One on the list to support this readiness for marriage is sufficient information regarding the scope of readiness for marriage itself. Prospective brides from various learning sources can obtain information about readiness for marriage. Learning sources can be obtained by Tri Pusat Pendidikan consists (1) the family environment, (2) the school environment, and (3) the community environment. This study aims to determine the differences in the level of readiness for marriage based on educational background. This study used a mix method, namely qualitative and quantitative. This study used a purposive sampling technique: the applicants for marriage dispensation at the Malang Regency Religious Court were as many as 99 respondents. This study used a marriage readiness scale as the instrument and observation and in-depth interviews related to Tri Pusat Pendidikan theory of education. This study used the data analysis technique of one-way anova with a sig value = 0.858 and p> 0.05. This study’s results indicate no significant difference in the readiness for marriage for the marriage dispensation applicants based on their educational background.
