Abstract

The study aims to analyze the impact of local government and the entire community managing local resources to create new jobs and encourage economic growth, including the hotel sector, in regional economic development. Although Lamongan Regency has a good economic level, residents on the north coast of Java, commonly called "pantura", mainly work as fishermen. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that what has been done about community empowerment strategies in the Patakan tourist village, Sambeng sub-district, Lamongan Regency, can be concluded as follows: 1. The commitment of Pataan Tourism Village in developing nature-based and cultural tourism with the main attraction of Patakan Temple is carried out through local community empowerment and support for sustainable programs from the government. The strategies taken include education and counseling, community participation in temple management, and long-term planning for cultural preservation and local economic development. 2. The development of Patakan Tourism Village is supported by the potential of history, culture, community participation, and promotion. The positive impacts include economic growth, preservation of traditions, and environmental conservation, but there are risks such as inequality of benefits, commercialization of culture, and environmental damage. Challenges include limited funding, minimal training, and inadequate infrastructure. Solutions through community empowerment, infrastructure improvement, and sustainable management.
