Abstract

The formwork work is a crucial stage in building construction that requires in-depth analysis regarding time and cost. This thesis examines the comparison between two formwork methods, namely the Conventional method and the PERI System. This research aims to analyze the comparison of costs and time in formwork work between these two methods in the construction project of the PT. SADIKUN Office Building. The analysis results show that the total time required for structural work using conventional formwork is 246 days, while the use of the PERI system formwork only takes 163 days. Thus, the PERI system formwork method is 83 days faster compared to the conventional formwork. In terms of cost, the use of conventional formwork requires a total cost of Rp 5,377,058,259.87, while the PERI system formwork incurs a cost of Rp 7,112,550,267.23, indicating that the cost of the PERI system formwork is higher than that of the conventional method. The comparison between the two formwork methods shows that the PERI system formwork is superior in terms of time efficiency, with a significant reduction in work duration. However, this must be weighed against the higher costs compared to conventional formwork. Therefore, the selection of the formwork method should consider the project's priorities, whether to prioritize time efficiency or cost savings. These findings are expected to provide insights for construction practitioners in choosing a more effective and efficient formwork method.
