KONFLIK SOSIAL ANTARA MAHASISWA NUSA TENGGARA TIMUR (NTT) DENGAN MASYARAKAT LOKAL (Studi Tentang Penyebab dan Resolusi Konflik Antara Mahasiswa Dengan Masyarakat Lokal di Kota Malang)

Conflict is a situation that is highly avoided by humans in general. However, a country as large and complex as Indonesia, conflict is certainly something that cannot be sustained. One of the factors that cause conflicts that often occur in pluralistic countries such as Indonesia is conflicts that are in the background of elements of sarah issues, such as race, ethnicity and religion. Based on the study, it is stated that this has often happened in the 1990s. Examples of conflicts are between Javanese and non-Javanese tribes, Dayak tribes and Madura (Nurul 2020). The purpose of this study is to describe Social Conflicts and conflict resolution that occurs between East Nusa Tenggara students and local communities in Malang City. This type of research is a qualitative approach of qualitative descriptive research. Descriptive research is research with a method to describe the results of research. Collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The subject determination technique in this study uses the purposive sampling technique. The results of the research and analysis that have been carried out, it can be concluded that social conflicts between the local community of Malang and East Nusa Tenggara students are caused by 1) cultural differences, 2) conflicts caused by violations of boarding house rules, 3) conflicts caused by student disturbances during adhan time, and 4) conflicts caused by conflicts between students themselves. The suggestions from this study are divided into three parts, namely students, the community and the government.
