Abstract

Psychological well-being is something that needs to be considered because it highlights the psychological health of individuals. Psychological well-being is a sense of well-being both physically and mentally, and can actualize oneself well. Adolescence aged 16-18 years is a period of development of characteristics that are at risk in a positive or negative direction. Psychological Well-being is the basis for adolescents to be able to face various problems in adolescence, one of which is to face the problem of dating and not dating. The purpose of this study was to see the picture of psychological well-being in adolescents who were involved in dating and not dating. The population in this study was 142 students in Jombang Regency who were involved in dating and not dating. The sampling technique applied was purposive sampling. The instrument in this study was the psychological well-being scale. The dimension with a high level of psychological well-being in subjects who were dating and not dating was self-acceptance. The results of this study indicate that the highest dimension of psychological well-being is self-acceptance with a percentage of 69% in the high category of 98 subjects while the low category has a percentage of 31% with 44 subjects. Individuals with high psychological well-being will also be able to form life satisfaction, foster positive emotions, happiness and gratitude.
